College Football Chat – Season 2014 Episode 7

On Thursday, November 6, at 6:00 PM eastern, Hod Rabino, publisher of DevilsDigest.com, will join us to discuss Saturday’s match-up between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Arizona State Sun Devils. Both teams sport 7-1 records this season and the winner will keep their hopes alive for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

On Wednesday, October 15 at 3:30 PM eastern, Ben Jones of Warchant.com will join us to discuss Saturday’s match-up between the Florida State Seminoles and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Both teams head into this contest undefeated and the winner will gain an inside track to a spot in the College Football Playoff.

In addition, Ben will update us on the controversies surrounding Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston, who is facing a disciplinary hearing for his alleged sexual assault in 2012 and an investigation into over 900 of his authenticated autographs by the same company that has been linked to suspended Georgia running back Todd Gurley.

College Football Chat – Season 2014 Episode 5

On Thursday, October 9 at 2:00 PM eastern, Nick Baumgardner, beat writer for MLive Media Group, will join us to discuss Michigan Wolverines football. The Wolverines are off to a historically bad start and Nick will share his thoughts on whether or not the team can reverse course and salvage the season.

We will also address the controversies surrounding Head Coach Brady Hoke, including the events regarding Wolverines quarterback Shane Morris’ concussion during the Minnesota game. Additionally, we will look at the Big Ten Conference and ask Nick if any team can emerge to grab a spot in the College Football Playoff, especially in light of this past week’s upsets that left many top ranked teams with one loss.

College Football Chat – Season 2014 Episode 4

On Wednesday, September 24, at 1:00 pm est we will have Kayce Smith of the SEC Network and ESPN. Kayce joined ESPN in July 2014 after a stint as the sideline reporter (Fox Sports) for the Atlanta Hawks which spanned from March to May 2014. Prior to her work with Fox Sports she was an analyst and radio host for TexAgs.com. She graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2012.

Having experienced life in College Station we decided┬áto bring on Kayce to discuss the gameday atmosphere at Kyle Field. She will also do some analysis on the Texas A&M vs Arkansas game which will be the CBS Sports SEC game of the week. She will be in Arlington, Texas for the game and will air on ESPN’s College Gameday with analysis of the Aggies versus the Razorbacks.

Lastly, Kayce will discuss all things SEC Football and what it is like being a sideline reporter for the SEC Network. This is the initial season of the SEC Network and the network is already receiving rave reviews. With the SEC West having four teams in the top 10 it is going to be a very interesting year for a network that is focused on the best conference in college football.

College Football Chat – Season 2014 Episode 3

On Thursday, September 11, at 5:00 PM eastern time we will be joined by Lindsey Thiry of the Los Angeles Times. Lindsey covers the University of Southern California football team and will discuss the Trojans’ recent victory over Pac-12 rival Stanford and their upcoming match with the Boston College Eagles.

Lindsey will also update us regarding the on-field incident involving USC Athletic Director Pat Haden and the officials during the Stanford game. In addition, Lindsey will discuss the fallout surrounding the suspended USC player Josh Shaw’s fabricated story about his sprained ankles, as well as the accusations of racism by former player Anthony Brown of Head Coach Steve Sarkisian.

Finally, Lindsey will discuss the Pac-12 conference and the keys for USC to emerge from the South Division to compete for the conference championship.

Finally, we will make our predictions as to which teams will make the College Football Playoff and if the Seminoles will repeat as national champions.
