Throughout many parts of game 4 of the 2017 NBA Finals Lebron James had a smile on his face. In fact, that large majority of fans in Cleveland were ecstatic to see such a performance by the Cavs. Scoring 49 points in the first quarter and 86 in the first half proved to be a record. While some would say this is an impressive record, it is one that will likely be broken in the next several years as teams are scoring more points every single year.
The Cavs have to hop on a plane and play the the Warriors in Oakland on Monday night. You can be rest assured that LeBron will have a smile on his face at the tip of the game, but it will be interesting to see how his emotions change as the game progresses. If Steph Curry and Kevin Durant hit some early shots and the Warriors get up by double digits in the first half, we can guess that LeBron James will attempt to take over the game by himself which will lead to very few smiles.
No matter what happens on Monday night, LeBron James will continue to be one of the best players in the history of the NBA. Some will argue he is the best player in NBA Playoff history with the only competition being Michael Jordan. That said, we all know that Michael Jordan never lost in the NBA Finals and LeBron James has lost in the finals a number of times.
So, what do you think? Do you think LeBron James will be able to carry the Cavs and get the series to a game 6? Will that smile turn into a frown after a loss? Will he pout at the press conference if the Cavs get blown out?
